Cleaning of Guinea pig's nails and fur Mar 20, 2007 04:47 AM (Total replies: 21)
please.
1. Dry powder bath do not cause URI. this is baseless. 2. use a tooth pick to gently dig out all the dirt in the nails. but usually a scrub during bath time works i wonder y all the fuss.

Is it better to get 1 guinea pig or 2? Mar 20, 2007 04:45 AM (Total replies: 17)
ur pig is a smooth coat. as i mentioned, local= locally born its not like local rabbits please get names right. urs is a red and white bicolor smooth unless when he grow up and sprout long hind fur then he's a sheltie. does he have a twirl of hair curling behind his ears?
as for 1... books and gurus will always tell u 1 is never the number to get. Guinea pigs are herding animals. they have to at least stay in a pair. my friend is going to pass me a wearned batch of accident litter by this week. most likely all will be rehomed by my rehomers. let me know ifg ure interested,

Mites. Mar 20, 2007 04:39 AM (Total replies: 9)
mites. - cause fur lost... -cause pesticides to start breeding on ur pets skin. imagine if i let an ant farm lose on ur head .
pls treat it. go to a vet for a drop of revolution or approach some small animals groomers who knows how to do it to drop it for u. an overdose will KILL ur pigs

When is it safe to get pregnant again? Mar 20, 2007 04:36 AM (Total replies: 9)
1st things 1st. what the heck is ur objective to breed?
to sell?? reality check. In spore there are more than enuff morons breeding for sales . u can go take a look at the offsprings they are FULL of defects. do u think u really can earn.?? Besides do you think u can get 100% of ur litters alive?? colors genes no problem? if no why breed??
"to have a family of pigs?" what the hell is good about it?? there are many pigs out there waiting to be adopted. adopt and make them ur herd. Just like mine. there is no way to gurantee ur pigs will come out safe and alive. by breeding ur sows u are simply adding risks for death thats all. Look at "doreenwong" or many other veterans on pets.com.sg. they can tell u many of them tried to get a herd of their own... even monthly visits to ensure pups are alive mother is doing fine. and yet go take a look gruesome still born pups.
Besides if u dun know where ur pigs come frm why breed them?? you'll most likely end up with a bunch of mongrels. a bunch of lives made by ur imbecile thinking of breeding. gps can last 4 to 8 yrs will you keep that long (even shld they survive that long) Please be realistic. dun breed animals to ease that psychotic thinking. dun add more burden to society. wy is right about this
btw weiyang who told u a bunch of males will fight?? as long as there's no scent of female presence as long as theres not 2 alpha in the herd u can keep males happily together.

Cooling the pigs Mar 20, 2007 04:25 AM (Total replies: 30)
Portion removed
But spore pigs are bred in our climate and as gens goes on they adapt in this climate. to give them colder atmosphere suddenly is not good and you'll end up with a sicky pig. air con temp 29 up shld be ok but anything lower is actually quite disasterous. btw check where guinea pigs origin . they come frm about the same or even hotter climate esp when summer befalls
if u are really worry of the heat use a fan or throw in a ice bottle. i personally have a big industrial fan circulating their corner 24/7 not kept under direct sun nor near closed glass windows Edited by Boo on Mar 27, 2007 at 12:31 PM

Can someone helps me with my Pigs' type? Mar 20, 2007 04:18 AM (Total replies: 6)
lol
almost all pigs unless with certs of import are locals. as long as they r born in spore they are our locals. to be more specific trimiko is a tricolor(red white black) smooth cost. def. local as 1 thing it is certainly not wearned when u got her and 2 her snout really gave it away that she was bred hastily. miziko is prob a bicolor(red and white) abby or cross. red eyes.locally bred as well.
a reminder to not breed them pls as most likely u'll get defects in birth. better check their genders to be sure.
