Oh dear.
It feels terrible to see our little ones getting hurt fespecially if or unnecessary means.
The groomer sounds horrible.
There has been news about groomers ended up killing dogs through rough handling in Singapore.
So, really need to be careful where to send and, also, try to stay witin the shop if possible especially if first few times go there.
hope you furby will be ok soon.

i remember watching one video on how the vet put the dogs and cats to sleep.
The dogs happily went into the clinic. Only to find themselves getting injected. They pleaded and whined and cried.
The poor dogs were injected not once, but a few times, because they struggled and ran all over the clinic in fear.
Then before they were completely knocked out, they were alerady thrown onto a pile of carcass, waiting to be deposed of.
I also remember once, when I brought my dog for heartworm test. He misunderstood and thought the vet was going to do something to him.
Then he kept making a sound. I knew it meant "please no, please no, please no".
It broke my heart just to hear that.
I cannot bear to think of how scared, sad and panicky the dogs and cats and all other animals on the verge of dying have felt.

you won't believe the amount of time I have to spend fighting with the fellow just to clean up his ears. He only allows cotton pads.
sigh.
Did the vet tell you what had caused your westie's ear canal to be too narrow?

Am having troubles with the ears now.
Sent to vet.
After lab test, found 3 types of bacteria inside the ears.
So gave 2 types of anti-biotics since last Sunday.
Today went for review.
Vet said ear canal too narrow. So have to give about one week's steroids to open up the ear canal.
else, might have to do surgery.
I'm SO WORRIED. I won't want him to do surgery.
Hope the medication can work.
Any advises?

But it's soft yet good enough for usage during baths.
Jerry's enjoying his new way of bathing now. Hopefully the new baths can help him rid the skin prob

To help with my westie's skin condition, I'm looking for boar hair brushes to use on him during bathing.
I've tried SASA, watsons, guardian, Unity, Body Shop but can't find any such brushes before.
Any idea I can get them? I only know overseas have. But very expensive to import.
Any idea where to get them locally? TIA

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – July 2, 2010 – United Pet Group, Cincinnati, Ohio is voluntarily expanding its recent recall of its Pro-Pet Adult Daily Vitamin Supplement tablets for Dogs to include additional pet nutritional supplement products for dogs and cats due to possible Salmonella contamination. The list of recalled products is provided below. The Food and Drug Administration is aware of this recall.
The recalled products are sold nationally at various retailers. The products include various United Pet Group Pro-Pet and Excel branded products for dogs and cats, and certain other private label brands of the same products. All of the affected products are in tablet and powdered form. These products are being removed from retail stores and consumers should immediately stop feeding these supplements to their pets. The affected products are those with expiration dates that include and are between "01/2013" and "06/2013." Products with expiration dates earlier than 01/2013 or later than 06/2013 are not included in this recall.

It is said, that pets whose owners eat vegetarian food, and the pets listen to buddha scripts together with owner, after death and go through crementation, will have the buddhist relics.
part 1 video - 2 boys buried a dog whom they found had died horribly. That day, the dog's spirit saved the boy who initiated burying the dog, from a female ghost. The female ghost killed herself in the building. Since then, every year, on that day, a boy will jump down from that building.
Part 1 - 2 cases of dogs' licking caused wounds or sickness to become cured.
Part 2 video - a dog was kidnapped and killed and was found in a dog-meat shop. The owner bought the carcass home and buried it. But the dog's spirit refused to rest. So that whole village's men kept getting drowned during fishing. Women hanged themselves. Children drown in pools.
Part 3 video - one speaker had been helping dogs and cats for many years and twice, she was saved by dogs' spirits.
- when dogs and cats die, they ought to be buried under a tree else cannot go to heaven??? And should chant the "wang sheng zhou" seven times. Plus bathe in pomelo leaves water for at least 20 mins for 7 days?
part 3 - or after death, after crementation, should put the ashes into the sea...
either way, it's sad to think about death.
Part 4 - a CHH pet died in the house toilet. Owner cried for days and buried it in the yard. Then some weeks later, while sleeping, owner felt the CHH jumping on her and woke her up. She tot it was still alive and gave chase. When she reached the yard, the 921 Taiwan earthquake started. The lighting pole crashed through her windows and slammed right on her bed.
- One speaker said not all fox spirits are bad. She talked about how they saved her and her friend from a car accident.
Part 5 - a goldfish dialed fast dial to ambulance to save owner.
Part 5 - a parrot that learnt chanting buddha script, after death and crementation, produced replic flower. The tongue turned goldish bronze and wasn't burnt.
- a cow saved from death, was kept in front of a temple. It would kneel down and pray and listen to buddha scripts.
- a man was saved by a boar.
