Thk u guys for all the information. Guess the most convenient way is to get k9 natural since some of u do not recommend raw meat from mkt or supermkt. Btw, do u guys cut up the meat in small chunks before giving to yr pet or juz give the whole piece? Do u mix with other stuff like veg to go along with it?

I,m a "clean freak" and dont want my dog to be covered with blood from the raw meat around his mouth area and paws.

I have only heard of barf which u need to thaw then give to yr dog (correct me if i,m wrong) coz i nt too familiar with raw food. But i noticed that most pet shops dont carry this probably they need a chiller for it. I hv only seen it at pet station (serangoon grdns branch) n upetgamart in pasir ris.

Is there any other brands u wld recommend? Or can i juz buy the normal raw pork n chicken meat from market n feed him?

Hi june, didnt think of raw food coz my dog has sensitive n weak stomach.

Hi aliang n thinkingofdogs, i did what u all did clear n throw the food after abt 15m if he dont eat n i too feel that it is wasteful to throw food away everyday like that, thats why am thinking of other ways to make him finish up his current supply of food before i buy new ones.

Hi ran will separate the wet n dry to c if situation improves, btw i only feed him 2 meals a day morning ard 9 n evening at 7. Usually its the morning meal that he is wasting, the evening meal he will eat but will not finish all.

I find Nutripe pretty smelly ardy but it doesnt appeal to him also. And i also worried abt his breath n poo will be smelly if he eats too much of these stuff.

Currently what i do is boil some chicken breast meat or lean pork meat to mix in occasionally juz to make him eat but not on a daily basis. After he tasted these meat, its worst as he reject his "dog food" more.

My doggie, cming to 8 mths, is getting sick of his dry kibble (on ANF Holistic for puppy) and i tried to mix some canned food but he only ate a few times and lost interest in that too (tried both brands Canine Gold & Nutripe). I do notice Nutripe canned food has a pungent/smelly odour and not sure if that's the reason he doesnt like it. I supplement with pet milk at times when he's not eating.

Anyone got any recommendation? E.g. Other brands of canned food or other food that might interest him? Thks.

Doggie News & Discussions » More dog run parks in Singapore. Dec 26, 2011 01:53 PM (Total replies: 17)
I think its bcoz the ppl running it did not maintain the place properly. Like rubbish on the floor, lots of mozzies, facilities look run-down. If they dun do it properly and no one visits, isnt it a waste of land as well?

Housing, Apparels & Accessories » dog gate/fencing Dec 26, 2011 01:15 PM (Total replies: 14)
U can try pet shops like plc, petstation etc. They sell those fences which u can buy piece by piece to build up to the size u want. But not sure if those can withstand the weather n rain, mayb the stainless steel type will work!

Is there a "club" for dogs haha? Like owners pay an affordable monthly fee to enjoy the dog run or facilities?

I agree, sometimes i want to bring my dog for a good swim but there seems to be limited place or the pool seems not to be properly maintained.

These are internet scams. They con u to pay for the shipping but the dogs never arrive. You can search this forum, there is another thread about this issue.

Diet, Nutrition & Supplements » Advice Needed! 7 Months CHH puppy refusing his meals Dec 9, 2011 09:43 PM (Total replies: 20)
I also have the same problem with my toy poodle, when he came at abt 2 months+ he will polish off the dry food (on ANF Holistic) as we were advised not to switch the food he is eating from the breeder. He has been on the same food and is nw coming to 7 months old.

Nw occasionally, I will give him lean pork shreds or chicken breast meat mix with his dry food. This is like a weekly treat for him (like once or twice a week). If this meal he has the dry food with meat, the next meal you can see he is less enthusiastic or lose interest when he is only given dry food.

Like what others say, day in day out if you eat the same food, you will also get bored, but when he gets the nice food he will ignore his dry food, that's why I am in a dilemma whether to continue giving him his weekly treats. I have also tried mixing a small portion of another brand of dry food. he just "sort out the food" and eat the new one, ignoring the old food.

Hi cocoboco

I had the same experience when I wanted to adopt a dog. I advertised in Locanto informing that I was interested in adopting and suddenly you get emails from these "so-called" owners offering their puppies for adoption.

Most of them sounds like expatriates and they tell you they are relocating or having a newborn that's why they are giving up the dog. Initially I thought the pups are in Singapore and I wanted to view the puppy before making a decision, that's when I realised that these puppies are always in some other countries (all the emails are the same, although the owners use different names, after 2 -3 emails, I realised the content and tone is about the same). They will tell you to only pay for delivery fee and nothing else, and everything will be taken care of by the delivery company as they have experience.

When I brought up the concern that Singapore AVA requires a licence for importing animals, they tell you their puppies are registered with some kind of kennel club and there will be no problem with the importation.

I grew suspicious after that and never reply them anymore. I was lucky that they did not succeed.
