is about my fiance's puppy. She's near 5 months now.
Ever since we got her, she behaved quite well. Only problem is, she doesn't seem to be very close to human.
She can be perfectly alright to play alone. Even though we spend time and love on her, she's still the same.

She does not bark at human, never bite or nibble.
But will walk away from you because she prefer human not to touch her.
If you carry her, she will not struggle or runaway.

And once she's back to her playpen, she will go to her bed, lie down and sleep.

What's her problem actually? I feel quite sad to see her this way.
How can I make her feel happier, more social-able and like human to touch or sayang her?

if it's human, counselling would be needed, sorry lah, just pulling yr leg nia!

5 mths old is still a pup which nid lots of sleep still , my gal, Cash, approaching 4 yrs old, still sleeping long hrs though but she always tired out after her mad dog run or long walks.

Bring her out for walks or social meet ups with friends when she's older, even if carry her for walks to parks if u fear of "virus" that some dog owners would be afraid for young pups to get contact with.

If any park walkers passes by that would like to pat or stroke it, just let it be with yr supervision , but if still persists, maybe u wanna consider a trainer for assessment.

Does your puppy tremble or whinefor no reason? Is his tail sometimes tucked between its back legs?He may be fearful of someone or some object in the house or area.Anyway I am just guessing & hopes his behavior changes for the better.God bless.

she does not tremble or whine. Only tuck her tail in btw her leg when we place her on the table for grooming. other than that, she's totally okie.
And i don't think she is afraid of someone or object in the house leh.

If only there's a consultation for dogs uh..

Sometimes it's just 1 character of it's own. Maybe it could hv inherit the gd genes from it's parent with gd characteristic behaviour. Bring it out to socialise more n see how it goes cos at 5 mths it's still too young though most young pups shld be "very naughty" at this stage.

i think that is just character, like human also have introvert and extrovert.

I agree with ranchu003 that should bring to socialise more, let her play with other dogs. and bring her for daily walk
