The SPCA relies mainly on the generosity of the public for funding and does not receive any government grants. The Fun Run is one of the biggest events in SPCA’s fundraising calendar, having raised over $18,579 in 2006. With over 570 people registered for the Fun Run in 2006, SPCA hopes to attract as many participants this year to reach their target of $18,000. This money will be used to help sustain the services that SPCA provides for unwanted and abandoned animals.
