Resorts World, Sentosa continues to turn a deaf ear to the pleas of Singaporeans and international organisations to do the right thing and release the 25 wild dolphins. It is time for all animal lovers—indeed, everyone who believes in fair play— to come together and speak as one.
ACRES is hosting a concert in Hong Lim Park to raise awareness, to make ourselves heard and most importantly, to show our solidarity with the dolphins.
Several prominent bands and musicians, including Jack and Rai, Sixx, D’Fusion, Zal Empty, Alicia Pan and Michaela Therease are donating their precious time and talent for the dolphins’ benefit.
ACRES need you there too. We will gather together to form the shape of a giant leaping dolphin for the cameras. And we will sing, ‘Please let the dolphins go’, together, in one loud voice. Bring as many of your family and friends as you can. There will be music, food, drinks and fun. You can even make a picnic of it.
The more of us there are, the bigger that dolphin on the ground, the stronger our voice, and the louder the signal we can send.
The event is free for all. Please wear ACRES' black campaign T-shirt, which explicitly states: "Resorts World, please let the dolphins go". You can pick one up at the concert for $20. We understand that not everyone can buy a T-shirt, so in this case just wear a black top.
Hope to see you there!

WASAO, a story of the love for nature, the people and animals, a tear-jerking story of a with a pure heart. WASAO makes a screen debut as himself in this film that tells a sentimental yet heart-warming story of a ‘busakawa-ken’ (ugly but cute dog) and his past that has never been told.
A big furry white Akita arrives & wanders into the town of Ajigasawa, Aomori - within view of the Shirakami Mountain Range. The dog is tired and in fact has travelled all the way from Tokyo to find its owner. The Akita dog then runs into Tetsuko ( Hiroko Yakushimaru ), the owner of a squid restaurant. The dog doesn't seem to follow anybody, except a little boy named Akira, and has a habit of appearing and disappearing. Through several cases likes the Nebutsu Festival & the Ajigasawa Triathlon Event, the relationship between Tetsuko and the Akita dog becomes closer and named the dog, Wasao. Tetsuko then helped Wasao reconcile with his little master, Akira.
Be sure to catch this moving story of WASAO in Golden Village cinemas premiering on 23rd June 2011!
